Since the kids had a 4 day weekend, and it was my little guy's 10th birthday, we decided to take a little road trip out to Park City, Utah. I was actually really excited to not only get out of the house for the day, but to finally see the "famous" Park City! The city has two major ski resorts; Deer Valley Resort, and Park City Mountain Resort. Both ski resorts were the major locations for ski and snowboarding events at the 2002 Winter Olympics. The kids (and the adults) really wanted to try out the Alpine Roller Coaster, so we headed out to Park City Mountain Resort.
The scenery on the way was absolutely beautiful! Here are a few images:
As soon as we arrived in town, all of us were in need of re-fueling. We asked the locals for a good place to eat and we were directed to Davanza's Pizza. I have to admit, the pizza and the atmosphere were a big hit with our family! I even took a few photos of the place...
With our belly's full and the kids hyped up on caffeine, it was time to walk around and explore the little town. I fell in love with the artistic and uniqueness of the whole place!
After a few hours of exploring, it was finally time to take the kids to the resort and try out the Alpine Roller Coaster!
Here's the awesome roller coaster!!
I have to admit, the roller coaster is something I would definitely go back to do again. I'm not fond of roller coasters or heights (which this had a both involved), but it was a blast!! You can view and subscribe to my son's youtube channel to see us in action on the coaster (video will be posted soon).
They also had a zip line that I think we'll have to try out next time, along with the great skiing/snowboarding, of course.
As we were hiking back down to our vehicle, we had the honor of finding a Banksy painting - how awesome is that??!!
Oh.....and a Mazerati!
Yeah, we had a great time! We will definitely be going back frequently. I hope the locals don't mind me and my camera LOL!
