When I was a little girl I grew up in a area that rarely snowed. It was a magical moment when the snow would fall and actually stay for more than a few seconds. Anytime it would snow my brother and I would gather up our friends and enjoy the most of what we could until it melted. That was many many years ago. I've moved many places since then. Alaska, Georgia, Utah. No matter where I am, I still find snow a beautiful and magical thing. It's like a mesmeric, clean (and very cold) blanket that Mother Earth shares with us from time to time just to take us back to our childhood memories of fun and simple times. Peaceful times. My family and I needed a well deserved peaceful day this week so we decided to take a hike in the snow. It was nice to clear our heads and enjoy a beautiful peaceful day. This holiday season, don't forget to take some time out of all the hectic schedules, and take in a peaceful moment or two to enjoy the beauty around you.
